This weeks theme is reported to be The Beatles, as the finalists prepare to release their charity single.

The Sun reports that the remaining contestants are to tackle some of The Beatles most classic hits such as ‘Let It Be’, ‘Yesterday’ and ‘Hey Jude’.

Matt Cardle is still favourite to win the competition, which would see his judge Dannii Minogue win with the boys, the first time since her debut on the show in 2007. Leon Jackson won the competition in 2007, but has since failed to sustain popularity.

The finalists have been meeting armed forces personnel injured in war. They are expected to sing their cover of David Bowie hit ‘Heroes’ for the charity Help For Heroes.

Merseyside band The Beatles rocked the 1960s with the line up of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison regularly topping the charts until their break-up in 1970. Lennon was murdered in December 1980 with Harrison passing away in November 2001 from cancer.
