EastEnders boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins has taken the decision to axe four characters from the saga.
The Sun reports that Kirsty Branning (Kierston Wareing), Carl White (Daniel Coonan), AJ Ahmed (Phaldut Sharma), and Poppy Meadow (Rachel Bright) will all be written out as part of a shake-up.
The characters did not fit in with the new exec’s future vision for the soap, the paper’s article notes.

Dominic, 36, a former Story Producer on the BBC One soap, assumed office last month and has been tasked with turning around the fortunes of the flagging show.
EastEnders has since its launch traditionally been the second or first highest-rated UK soap opera alternating with Coronation Street on ITV but in recent times has fallen into third place behind the commercial network’s other soap Emmerdale.
