Jack Wild & June Brown movie The 14 comes to DVD

Released as part of Network’s The British Film Collection the movie sees Oliver! star Jack Wild appear alongside EastEnders’ actress June Brown.

Set in London’s East End, The 14 – also known as The Wild Little Bunch or Existence –  is based on the true story of fourteen children who struggle against overwhelming pressures to stay together after the death of their single mother.

Made available on DVD by Network for the first time in any format, this rare and remarkable motion picture is presented in a brand-new transfer from the original film elements.

Heading the cast is Jack Wild, who plays 17-year-old Reg – the eldest of the children, and committed to keeping his young family together after a promise he made to his mum played by EastEnders’ Dot Cotton/Branning – actress June Brown.

The 14 was the second film directed by Blow Up star David Hemmings, and received a Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival in 1973.

The movie is set for release on October the 28th with a RRP of £9.99.
