Glee looks set to move to Sky in the UK as the broadcaster enters into a bidding war with Channel Four over rights to the third series.
Glee has been a ratings hit for Fox in America and in the UK it is currently shown on Channel Four’s digital sister channel E4.
The musical comedy has attracted high ratings for E4 topping 2 million viewers on several occasions. However, E4 looks set to lose Glee as a bidding war between Sky and Channel Four has begun according to Media Guardian.
Sky is reportedly prepared to pay up to £500,000 per episode for Glee’s third season and Media Guardian reports some within Channel Four are resigned to the fact they’ll lose the series. Sky previously nabbed the UK rights to Lost from Channel Four and House from Channel Five.
If Sky does indeed manage to secure Glee it will be a big loss for E4 as it is by far its biggest success.
