Sam Bailey is to perform the opening number for the 2014 National Television Awards.
The NTA appearance will be her first live performance since winning the 2013 series of ITV search-for-a-singer show The X Factor.
Bailey however won’t have to face the stage alone as the live broadcast will also see her share the opening number with acclaimed singer Michael Bolton and the Thornhill Community Academy choir from Channel 4’s Educating Yorkshire.
The National Television Awards will air on ITV from 7.30pm on Wednesday 22nd January and as usual will honour televisions biggest stars in the only TV awards ceremony where all the viewers are chosen by the public in a huge nationwide poll.
A champion of viewer power, the NTAs is delighted to have been the UK’s market leading awards for nearly two decades. – ITV
