EastEnders fans will see the character of Danny Pennant depart Albert Square next month, according to the Daily Star Sunday.
Gary Lucy, who has played the role since 2012, reportedly held a meeting with the show’s boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins where it was decided his contract would not be renewed.

Danny arrived in Walford in September 2012 and caused a stir by having a fling with Syed Masood (Marc Elliott) before later accusing Syed’s boyfriend Christian Clarke (John Partridge) of assault.
The scheming character appeared over a few weeks before returning in a regular capacity last Summer.
Lucy has previously had roles in Hollyoaks, Footballers Wives and The Bill.
