The Wanted have announced they are to take a break following their European tour.
Not officially a split, but it may as well be. The boys from The Wanted have announced that they are to go their own way for a while once they have wrapped up their upcoming Word Of Mouth tour. In a statement posted on the official Wanted website, it says the band took a collective decision to take time out.
“This tour will be their last for a while as Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour’s conclusion.”
Word of Mouth tour will take the group to London, Liverpool, Cologne, Dublin, Glasgow and other destinations around the UK. They will perform for the last time on Tuesday 1st April when they head to Nottingham. While thanking fans, the press release insists that the boys will continue as The Wanted and ‘look forward’ to further projects together in the future.
“The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future. They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour.”
The Wanted first hit the charts in 2010 with their debut hit All Time Low getting to number one in the singles chart. They went on to have success in America and another number one single with Glad You Came.
