The Voice UK continued its ratings success with the latest blind auditions attracting 7.89 million viewers.
Episode three on BBC One featured an audition which wouldn’t look out of place on rival The X Factor. Si Genaro’s ‘Chicken Song’ made the coaches laugh and tickled many on social media. The Voice UK co-host Marvin Humes tweeted: “Can safely say never met anyone like Si Genaro before in my life! Hahahaha..too much jokes #TheVoiceUK”
One of the standout auditions was from Leverne Scott-Roberts. No stranger to reality TV auditions, Leverne belted out Ellie Goulding’s hit ‘Explosions’. Kylie Minogue, will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson all hit their button to turn around for her. She chose to be on Tom’s team.
The Voice UK peaked at 9.6 million viewers and was the most watched programme on Saturday. The third series, with new hosts Emma Willis and Marvin Humes, has proved a success by moving from March to January.
The Voice UK continues next Saturday at 7.10pm on BBC One.
