The former presenter of The Voice UK has criticised the new series which features new recruit Kylie Minogue.
Speaking to The Sun this week Willoughby hit out at those claiming that the new series is the best. “Have there been any improvements? I wouldn’t say, ‘The show is so much better this year’ at all.” She hosted the BBC One talent show alongside Reggie Yates for the first two series.
Willoughby went on to say that the show lacks Jessie J as her replacement, pop princess Kylie Minogue, doesn’t offer a strong critique to those who audition. “If I was on the show, Jessie would probably be the only person who had a hope in helping me to sing.”
Emma Willis and Marvin Humes replaced Willoughby and Yates as hosts for the third series. The blind auditions are proving popular with viewers once again, with figures of over 9 million viewers recorded. Kylie is joined by Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am and Ricky Wilson.
The Voice UK continues next Saturday at 7.10pm on BBC One
