Aston Merrygold will not be a judge on the next series of Sky1’s Got To Dance.
Got to Dance is one of the jewels in Sky 1’s Entertainment Crown and hosted by the Queen of TV Davina McCall. We are thrilled about seeing the best of the UK’s most talented dancers take part in the fifth series and show off their amazing moves in front of Ashley and Kimberly. – Phil Edgar Jones, Head of Entertainment, Sky
Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Banjo will both return for the show’s fifth outing this Summer, however, the JLS star won’t be joining them. Merrygold joined the judging panel on the dancing competition last year to replace Adam Garcia. A replacement judge will be announced in due course.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Davina McCall will return as host for the fifth series which concludes with a week of live arena shows. McCall, 46, best known for her years as the host of Big Brother UK, added that she “couldn’t be happier” to be returning to the show.
We really enjoyed working with Aston– who brought energy and vibrancy to his role as judge and we are excited to see who will step into his shoes. – Phil Edgar Jones, Head of Entertainment, Sky
