Gareth Gates is latest celebrity to leave Dancing on Ice.
The popstar ended up in the bottom two with former EastEnders actor Sam Attwater. The four judges decided to save Sam, who joins Beth Tweddle, Hayley Tamaddon, Kyran Bracken, Ray Quinn and Suzanne Shaw in next week’s show.
In honour of Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean’s 1984 winning performance at the winter Olympics, the celebrities skated to songs that made it big in 1984. The main show seen Ray Quinn gain the highest score from the judges, with an impressive 39.5 out of 40.
Gareth Gates took to Twitter hours after to thank his fans who voted for him during the competition. “Thank you for all your tweets. I’m good. It was time. I’ve loved my time in #DOI but it’s time to move on… Thank you for all your votes x”
