In the show the former TOWIE favourite travels the globe in search of groups of people he can throw parties for.
Joining Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby for a chat earlier today, Mark said:
I never knew anything I was about to do! It was pretty hardcore, but a fun experience that I’ll always remember. I got so close to all the families and all people I lived with and I wanted the party to work so much – there was a lot of pressure on my shoulders.
On wearing womens’ clothes and being part of a drag party, he added:
I did ring up the commissioner and said ‘do I really have to do this?’… they said it was up to me, and I wasn’t going to do it and I booked some salsa dancers that didn’t turn up – and I was stood there like ‘this party is a shambles, they’ve not invited enough people, there’s no performance’ so I looked at the director and said ‘you got what you wanted!’ And once I’d done it, it was worth it, the girl loved it.
[Did I enjoy it?] No I didn’t! And I will never do it again and I said I’ll never do it again unless there’s a good enough reason like this… and if you watch it, I was so uncomfortable.
Mark admitted that being away from home did begin to take its toll on him after a while:
I really missed home… I didn’t have a nice plush hotel to stay in, I was living in tents or with families that have their own habits and it was quite hard… and I obviously missed Michelle [Keegan, Mark’s fiancée] and my family and friends and my home comforts. That was the most difficult part of it.
Talking about his own wedding party and buying a house with Michelle, Mark revealed:
Michelle will get most of the say on the wedding – it’s her day. But when it comes to the party bit, I’ve said to her that I’m going to have the main input, but I don’t know if she’ll let me.
We have virtually bought a house now….it’s going through at the moment. It feels good. It’s another step in life and it’s an exciting one.
We kind of [already] do live together in the sense that we are probably away from each other for two days a week and the rest of the week we’re living with each other, either at hers or she’s at mine – so we virtually do all the ‘who’s taking the bins out, who’s cooking dinner tonight?’ already… and it’s usually me taking the bins out! And she’s an immense cook so I’ll be all right with that.
