Kylie Minogue has quit The Voice UK after one series.
The singer told The Mirror that she is going to be pre-occupied with tour commitments later this year when filming begins on series four of the talent show.
“I’m touring this year and the timings wouldn’t work. We started filming in November last year for the show and this year I’m on tour in September, October and November.” – Kylie
The Aussie pop sensation also revealed that she has found elements of appearing on the show, such as the decision-making process, ‘taxing and emotional’, adding “You can’t second guess yourself. You deal with a lot of decisions and emotions.”
A spokesman for the BBC has said they will look at accommodating Minogue’s schedule, describing her as a “fantastic addition” to the show. They added that discussions for the next series are currently at an early stage.
Minogue joined The Voice UK as one of two replacement judges after Jessie J and Danny O’Donoghue decided to leave at the conclusion of series two.
