Bradley Walsh and Kayvan Novak are to star in new BBC One sitcom Woody.
The new six-part sitcom is set on a fictional Spanish island and follows a Woody (Kayvan Novak) who goes on the run from authorities after being set up by his corrupt newspaper editor. He bumps into Walsh’s character Brutus, an old mentor who is now running a bar. Woody takes on a series of investigations on the island, running rings around the locals by using his astonishing ability to adopt a variety of guises at a moment’s notice.
The series is created by Neil Webster and Charlie Skelton and produced by Happy Tramp Productions for BBC One. Controller of BBC Comedy Commissioning Shane Allen says that the comedy will be bring “sunshine and laughs” to the channel.

Novak is best known for Fonejacker and Facejacker and has appeared in a number of TV shows and films, such as British comedy film Four Lions. Bradley Walsh has built up an acting career alongside presenting and stand-up comedy. Walsh currently presents daytime TV quiz The Chase and in ITV’s Law and Order: UK.
