Boyzone singer Ronan Keating has said he would love to be a judge on the UK version of the X Factor.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Keating confirmed he would be up for taking a role on the UK version but ruled himself out of the new series due to his commitments on the Australian version. The Irish singer sits on the Oz panel alongside former UK X Factor judge, fan favourite Dannii Minogue.
“I would love to do the UK X Factor. I’m already signed up for Australia this year. I’m down there from August doing the lives, so I wouldn’t be able to get back and do [this year’s series], but to be honest, I would do it.” – Ronan Keating
Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole have confirmed they are returning to the X Factor this year. No other names have been confirmed although its expected that Louis Walsh will return, despite saying 2013 would be his last year. Gary Barlow, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger have confirmed they will not be returning.
X Factor UK returns to ITV in August.
