Collabro have been crowned the winners of Britain’s Got Talent 2014.

The classical five piece triumphed over singer Lucy Kay to take home the 250k prize and secure a spot on this year’s Royal Variety Performance.

“We just want to thank everybody who voted, the judges and to Lucy as well, and to all the acts.” – Collabro

Earlier on in the show, the judges lavished praise on them for a rendition of Stars from the musical Les Misérables – the song they originally performed at their audition.

Runner-up Kay said “I’m completely speechless. I knew they would win from the start, I should have put a bet on it. And to the guy who put a £1,000 bet on me, I’m sorry!”

Tonight’s live final also featured performances from Cheryl Cole & Tinie Tempah and Little Mix & Diversity.
