BBC One’s popular genealogy series Who Do You Think You Are? is to return to the channel for a new series this summer during which it will celebrate its 10th birthday and 100th episode.
To mark the occasion, the beeb has commissioned a one-hour special to accompany the new series that will showcase some of the extraordinary moments that have derived from the show over the past ten years.
To date the show has told the moving and heartfelt stories behind 90 famous faces, tracing their ancestry and discovering family secrets and surprises with tales of poverty and prosperity, love and loss, war, immigration and struggle.
The new series boasts a glittering line-up comprising of award-winning actress Julie Walters; comedian and actor Billy Connolly; star of British Bake Off Mary Berry; acting legend Brian Blessed; actress Sheridan Smith; the man behind the hugely successful Mrs Brown’s Boys, Brendan O’Carroll; actress Tamzin Outhwaite; presenter and DJ Reggie Yates; actor Martin Shaw and model and actress Twiggy.
