BBC Two has secured unprecedented access to a branch of NatWest for a three-part factual series.
The beeb’s second channel is to explore our complicated relationship with money in The Bank – with each instalment going behind the scenes of the branch located in the north to look at how our most important everyday institution operates.
The series will also follow some of the facilities’ customers to their homes, as it builds up a picture of what money means to us all and the incredible influence that it can have on our daily lives.
“Documentaries on BBC Two should take you right under the skin of modern life and this film promises to be a fascinating look at our peculiarly British attitude to money told through the prism of a local High Street bank.” – Controller of BBC Two, Kim Shillinglaw
The Bank was commissioned by Emma Willis, Head of Documentaries for BBC One, BBC Two and BBC Four.
