TV and Radio presenter Mark Wright is the sixth celebrity to be confirmed for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
“Doing Strictly is going to be so completely different from anything I’ve done before. I’m the sort of guy who loves to bust out some moves at a party but I’m certainly not a natural dancer. Any of my friends would tell you that – they call me ‘Markey no-moves’! I’m genuinely petrified about dancing on national telly but Strictly is such an amazing show to be a part of and I can’t wait to get stuck in and give it my all!” – Mark Wright
Mark found fame as one of the original cast members of ITV2’s structured-reality series The Only Way Is Essex, in 2010, appearing as a regular on the show across its first three series.
He has since gone on to launch a successful presenting career fronting shows such as Party Wright Around The World and Take Me Out: The Gossip for ITV2, as well as appearing regularly in The Hub on ITV’s This Morning. On radio he currently presides over the popular Club Classics show on Heart.
The first five celebrities confirmed for this year’s Strictly were The Saturday’s Frankie Bridge, tennis coach Judy Murray, This Morning‘s showbiz reporter Alison Hammond, rugby star Thom Evans, and Simon Webbe from Blue.
