Peter Duncan exits BBC One’s Tumble in semi-final

BBC, Tumble

Peter Duncan has become the fourth celebrity to leave BBC One’s Tumble.

The former Blue Peter host exited the gymnastics competition in tonight’s semi-final, after competing against Carl Froch in the vault-off.

Following a brief appraisal of their performances, head judge Nadia Comăneci chose to retain the professional boxer as a contestant and send Duncan home.

Explaining her decision, Comăneci said: “Carl’s vault was more difficult and the fact he did a great execution and stuck the landing made me decide that he should go on.”

“I’ve just had such a great time, I never thought at this age I’d be in this kind of environment, with all these fantastic young people…  Semi final, that’s pretty good for an old geezer.” – Duncan

This week, the bottom two was decided by the public for the first time, with their votes being combined with the judges score to determine who would face the vault-off.

The result means that Amelle Berrabah, Bobby Lockwood, Carl Froch, Ian ‘H’ Watkins, Lucy Mecklenburgh and Sarah Harding have all made next Saturday’s Tumble final.
