Deal or No Deal is to remain on Channel 4 for the foreseeable future, with the announcement that the broadcaster has ordered a further 288 episodes of the much-loved afternoon hit.
“I feel honoured to be part of the finest team in TV. A team that never rests on its laurels and strives tirelessly to make the most entertaining shows possible. I am also truly grateful for the chance to meet so many fascinating people, from every walk of life, and to hopefully be instrumental in making their dreams come true.” – Presenter, Noel Edmonds
The deal will see the game show celebrate its tenth anniversary and comes ahead of an exciting new game play twist being introduced later this month.
The Offer Button will see savvy contestants, who are able to guess the banker’s first offer, earn an unprecedented element of control in their game. If those in the hot seat can successfully predict their opening offer, they will gain a one-time use of the Offer Button thereafter, which, if pressed, means the banker must immediately call to make them an offer.
Also coming up later this autumn is a celebrity special with Alan Carr taking the walk of wealth for Stand Up to Cancer.
Deal or No Deal has paid out £39 million in prize money to over 2,650 contestants since its launch on Channel 4 in 2005.
