Bobby Lockwood wins Tumble

tumble finalBobby Lockwood has been crowned the winner of BBC One’s Tumble.

The Wolfblood actor saw off competition from Amelle Berrabah, Carl Froch, Ian ‘H’ Watkins, Lucy Mecklenburgh and Sarah Harding to take home the title in tonight’s live final.

His victory came despite being bottom of the leader board with 33.5 points after all six celebrities had performed. At the top of the leader board was Steps’ Ian ‘H’ Watkins with a perfect 40 points. However, the judges scores were for guidance only this evening.

The lines then opened for the public to choose their winner, while the contestants each went on to perform a vault overseen by head judge Nadia Comăneci.

At the end of the show host Alex Jones announced that H, Bobby and Sarah had all procured the most votes from the public before revealing the final result.

An emotional Bobby said of his win “To actually win is mental. I’ve had the best team.”

Lockwood had been the bookies favourite to win the competition, although his participation in the final was thrown into doubt earlier this week when he suffered a nasty knee injury.
