Roger Howarth is to appear in The CW’s hit new series The Flash.
TVLine reports the soap actor has landed the role of journalist Mason Bridge in the comic book drama series. Howarth will make his debut in The Flash in the 11th episode of the series and will be trying to dig up dirt about the disgraced Dr. Harrison Wells.
The Flash stars Grant Austin as Barry Austin/The Flash and is a spin-off from fellow CW drama Arrow which stars Stephen Amell. The two dramas are set for a few crossovers over the course of the new season. The Flash debuted on The CW to its best series premier since 2009’s launch of The Vampire Diaries. Nearly 5 million viewers tuned in for the opening instalment.
Roger Howarth will be familar to soap fans for his role of Todd Manning in the now defunct soap opera One Life to Live. When the ABC soap ended in 2012 the actor crossed over to General Hospital to continue in the role.
However, when Prospect Park revived One Life to Live in 2013 (for a brief time) the actor returned. Things got a little confusing when he returned to General Hospital later in 2013 as an entirely different character; Franco previously played by James Franco.
Howarth’s other notable roles include Paul Ryan in As The World Turns, Professor Greg Hetson in Dawson’s Creek and Randall Lynch in Prey.
