STV Productions has announced today that it will be producing a second series of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip for BBC Two.
“I’m delighted the audience has taken Celebrity Antiques Road Trip to its heart and made it a great success in the BBC 2 schedule. We’re looking forward to many more famous faces careering around the countryside in search of a profit.” – Liam Keelan Controller of Daytime and Early Peak at BBC
The commission follows a successful first series in October 2011. This brand new series will follow 20 pairs of antique loving celebrities as they set off on a nail-biting road trip across the UK, competing against each other to make the biggest profit buying and selling antiques.
“Antiques Road Trip has proven to be must-see TV in the BBC2 schedule and we’re thrilled to be delivering a second and longer instalment of the celebrity version for peak time. It’s fantastic to have such a successful returning series come out of Scotland, which really seems to have struck a chord with viewers.” – Wendy Rattray, Creative Director at STV Productions.
The celebrities taking part will be confirmed prior to transmission.
