Mrs Brown’s Boys was the most watched programme on Christmas Day 2014.
Consolidated viewing figures, which includes those who recorded the show and watched it within a week, shows the sitcom’s festive special was watched by 9.7 million viewers with a 34.2 % share.
In the overnights the annual address by HM Queen came out on top when figures from BBC One and ITV were added together. The Queen’s Christmas Day message came out with 8.2 million viewers combined.
BBC One dominated Christmas Day viewing with programmes such as Call The Midwife (9.4 million), Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special (9.0 million) and EastEnders (8.6 million).
Coronation Street was ITV’s most watched show with 8 million followed by a festive Downton Abbey with 7.7 million viewers. Rural saga Emmerdale had 6.7 million viewers.
