The Voice UK was the clear winner on Saturday night as Stars in Their Eyes suffers a significant drop in viewers.
ITV’s revival of the Saturday night classic Stars in Their Eyes attracted just 2.51 million viewers last night for its second episode.
Its a drop of 1.17 million viewers from last week’s debut. Hosted by Harry Hill, the revived Stars in Their Eyes has been widely panned by TV critics and fans of the show alike.
Over on BBC One, The Voice UK managed to increase its viewership with 8.46 million tuning in from 7.00pm. Its increase could be the result of the poorly received Stars in Their Eyes, which airs at the same time on ITV.
The Voice UK, which features Sir Tom Jones, Rita Ora, wil.i.am and Ricky Wilson as coaches, was up 400,000 on last week’s episode.
Elsewhere, Celebrity Big Brother continued to do well following the arrival on Friday of Katie Price. Saturday’s highlights show at 9.00pm entertained 2.5 million viewers.
This series has attracted mass press attention following Jeremy Jackson and Ken Morley’s ejection from the house and the arrival of Katie Price.
