Loose Women has launched a book club where panellists will discuss their favourite books with each other, the studio audience and the viewers.
The format of the item – ‘Loose Books’ – will see a different panellist choose their favourite book every month. Once they have revealed their selection, the rest of the panel, the studio audience and the viewers at home will have one month to seek out and digest the title so they can join in the conversation. The books that are chosen can be fact or fiction and any type or genre of book, from a classic novel to a new release.
“We think of our Loose Women viewers as part of a club and so it’s a natural extension to widen that into a book club. Each title has been chosen by one of our presenters and they’re really looking forward to immersing themselves in great stories and sharing feelings and thoughts with our viewers each month.” – Editor of Loose Women, Martin Frizell
The item launched today with Coleen Nolan opting for psychological thriller, The Girl On The Train that will come up for discussion on Monday 20th April. In addition to contacting the show direct, viewers at home can join the debate by posting on Loose Books’ Facebook page or via the show’s other social media platforms.
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV
