The Great Australian Bake Off is heading to screens down under following a deal between Foxtel and the BBC.
The series will air on the LifeStyle Food channel however Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood (pictured) are to be replaced for the Aussie series by culinary icon Maggie Beer and acclaimed chef Matt Moran as judges for the local Australian version of the BBC One format, which goes in to production shortly. This is the third commission of a beeb series to be produced by Fremantle Media Australia, other productions include their version of Strictly Come Dancing for the Seven Network using the Dancing with the Stars branding.
This also takes the number of international commissions for The Great Bake Off to eighteen, including one commission licensed directly to the USA (CBS) by the format owners Love Productions. BBC Worldwide has licensed the highly successful format to Belgium (VTM), Denmark (DR), Finland (MTV3), France (M6), Germany (ProSiebenSat.1), Ireland (TV3), Italy (Discovery), The Netherlands (MAX), Norway (TV3), Poland (TLC), Sweden (TV7/Sjuan), Turkey (Acunmedya), Ukraine (1+1), as well as previously in Australia (Nine Network) and a Junior Bake Off in Thailand.

The Great Bake Off format was created by Love Productions and is distributed by BBC Worldwide. The UK version stars Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins as presenters.
