“Sarah & Duck embodies everything that we are passionate about for our CBeebies global audiences: It is stimulating, entertaining and has proven very popular internationally, stretching minds and imaginations of pre-schoolers all over the world! We are thrilled to be offering fans more of what they love with brand new episodes, magazines, toys and licensed products” – BBC Worldwide’s Director for Children’s Henrietta Hurford-Jones
The new series will comprise of a further forty episodes, bringing the total number of Sarah & Duck episodes to 120 and guaranteeing the onscreen presence of the seven minute long shows until at least 2018.
This third series commission from CBeebies UK and BBC Worldwide follows a period of successful activity for the animated duo. A third DVD of adventures – Balloon Race – was released earlier this year, and the brand’s first App, ‘Sarah & Duck – A Day at the Park’ waddled straight to the top of the Kids iTunes charts. BBC Worldwide has also secured a continued licensing and merchandising agreement in the UK for Sarah & Duck from Karrot Entertainment.
