Phillip Schofield is to return as host of long running couples game show All Star Mr & Mrs for ITV later this year.
The show once more is poised to put a host of famous stars and their partners to the test as they compete to win up to £30,000 for their chosen charity.
In this new series, we will see more celebrity couples being quizzed about their other halves, revealing how much or how little they really know about each other. Some of the stars taking part include Marvin and Rochelle Humes, Martina Navratilova and her wife Julia Lemigova, Jimi Mistry and wife Flavia Cacace-Mistry, Rylan Clark and partner Dan Neal, Cath Tyldesley and fiancé Tom Pitfield, Tinchy Stryder and girlfriend Helen Haben and ‘King of the Jungle’, superbike hero Carl Fogarty and wife Michaela.
“I can’t wait to get back in the studio and start filming the new series, we have some great couples lined up. I love finding out what really goes on in the lives of these famous stars and revealing those little details that they never think are going to be exposed!” – Phillip Schofield
In every episode, the audience gets an insight into the lives of three celebrity couples. One of the couples play for the £30,000 charity jackpot in the final, whilst the other two couples take home £5,000 each for their charity. All of them receive a coveted carriage clock for their mantelpiece!
The series returns to ITV later this year. Phillip Schofield is a familiar face on the ITV network hosting daytime magazine series This Morning, The British Soap Awards (pictured) and game show The Cube. Mr & Mrs first broadcast on the then regional network of Independent Television stations over fifty years ago in 1964. The series was devised by Roy Ward Dickson for Canadian network CTV. Production company, and local broadcaster, TWW brought the format to the UK. The show’s most famous, and longest running, presenters are Alan Taylor and Derek Batey.
