Kimberly Wyatt has been crowned the winner of Celebrity Masterchef 2015.
The former Pussycat Doll’s restaurant-quality dishes helped her see off competition from presenters Sam Nixon and Rylan Clark, as the tenth series of the BBC cooking competition came to a close.
“This has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. The whole reason for being in MasterChef was because I am a new mum, and to create something for my little Willow to look up to, and I think that’s what this represents.” – Kimberly Wyatt
Kimberly’s winning menu consisted of a starter of Seafood soup with Jersey Royal potatoes, mussels, clams and pan-fried scallops, a main of loin of lamb served on a bed of spinach with a celeriac puree, roasted shallots, Jerusalem artichokes and a cherry tomato, rosemary, garlic, balsamic and olive oil sauce, and a dessert of ‘Sinatra Cheesecake’ made in her own way with poached rhubarb and a rhubarb foam.
“Those three plates were unassuming but they delivered in buckets. Sophisticated, stylish, absolutely brilliant!” – Masterchef judge John Torode
Fellow judge Gregg Wallace added: “Kimberley reached a level of sophistication that you can only find in restaurants. She’s very very good indeed.”
Previous winners of Celebrity Masterchef have included Sophie Thompson, Lisa Faulkner and Ade Edmondson.
