Daniel Baldwin has become the first celebrity to be evicted from Celebrity Big Brother.
The American actor failed to procure enough votes from the public to be saved over Farrah Abraham, Chloe-Jasmine Whichello and Stevi Ritchie, Chris Ellison, Jenna Jameson and Janice Dickinson.
“You’re surprised to see your face when there have been explosions. I’ve been a pretty good person, but haven’t done enough for the public to want me to stay… I didn’t get enough votes,” he told host Emma Willis.
“Where I’m from when you take out your cigarettes and leave them open on the table, you’re offering them to others…obviously not.” – Daniel on the incident which earned him a nomination from Chloe and Stevi
“I think birds of a feather flock together,” Daniel noted of the UK vs. USA theme and dynamic it had created. “I think it would’ve been far more interesting if you could only have voted as a USA member for UK people and they could only vote for you.
“The American team is a louder team. There was little fighting amongst the UK team it was the Americans fighting against themselves. I didn’t have a fight with anyone so it was interesting that I received four nominations. I thought it was going to be Chris [who is evicted] because he is quite reserved.”
“It’s the Janice show and she is a pain in the ass. I had no real confrontations with her because I knew what to expect. She never wins because she’s a nightmare.” – Daniel on Janice Dickinson
Emma queried whether Daniel’s brother Stephen would rib him for not doing as well as he had on the show, Daniel joked “Wait until Billy and Alec both go through it, then we’ll have it out!”
Daniel is the second American housemate to leave the series after Tila Tequila was removed due to controversial views she has expressed online in the past. Last night’s live show also saw Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell exit the house after a four day stay as part of this week’s shopping task.
The task saw the house transformed into a royal palace and British housemates assume the role of the Royal Family, and the Americans their servants led by Burrell. However, the latter were set a secret mission to get the Royals to disgrace themselves. Burrell said of his time in the reality series, “It’s been like staying in a high security ward. It was like one flew over the cuckoo’s nest. It was an amazing thrill. We won the task and they can get fed.”
