The beeb note that, in total, the six instalments from series one attracted 2.8 million requests on BBC iPlayer and 1.22 million viewers on BBC Red Button.
The first of the two specials will see Jake Wood, Jacqueline Jossa and Lorna Fitzgerald take a look back at the history of the Branning family and relive some of their favourite moments.
As Lindsey Coulson prepares to wave Goodbye to Walford, she will take to the sofa with Natalie Cassidy to reminisce about their time on the show as mother and daughter Carol and Sonia Jackson for the second episode.
“Filming Back to Ours was a wonderful way to look back on mine and Lindsey’s relationship as well as the Jackson family as a whole. It was a lovely way to say goodbye. It was a really special day.” – Natalie Cassidy
Jake, Lorna and Jacqueline’s episode will launch on Monday 28th September with Lindsey and Natalie’s following on Friday 2nd October.
