Model and radio presenter Lisa Snowdon, will be manning the phones at QVC today ahead of the retailer’s annual fundraising extravaganza for Breast Cancer Care this evening.
“I am a passionate supporter of Breast Cancer Care so was delighted when I was asked to help take donations for the QVC charity show. I’m keen to raise awareness of the fantastic show that QVC puts on and urge people to pick up their phones and pledge their support to a great cause. Who knows, you could win an incredible prize, whilst you’re at it!” – Lisa Snowdon
The 16th annual live fundraising ‘Breast Cancer Care’ 3-hour show will bring viewers an evening of glitz, glamour and entertainment, including special guest appearances from Lulu and Michelle Mone, plus a live performance from Britain’s Got Talent finalists, Jack Pack. The swing quartet will be closing the show with a performance of ‘Mack the Knife’, from forthcoming album ‘Jack Pack’, available to buy from QVC.
Having been a Breast Cancer Care Ambassador for over 10 years, QVC jewellery designer Snowdon, 43, is encouraging viewers of QVC’s annual charity fund-raising live show to pick up the phone and donate. QVC has already raised an incredible £5.3 million through specialist shows and internal employee initiatives for Breast Cancer Care since the leading video and ecommerce retailer began supporting the charity in 1999.
This year will be no different; QVC has collaborated with top brands and celebrities to offer a selection of perfectly pink products that the audience can snap up to help raise money for Breast Cancer Care. From cute charm bracelets to limited edition pink Dyson vacuum cleaners, there’s something to tickle everyone’s fancy.
Viewers can also get involved by making a donation throughout the show by calling the hotline number on 0800 24 32 12 or texting ‘CARE’ to 70300. All donations and 70% of all product sales will be donated to Breast Cancer Care.
“We’ve long been an avid supporter of the tremendous work that Breast Cancer Care does. It’s a charity close to the hearts of our audience and we hope our 16th annual ‘Breast Cancer Care’ show delivers a fabulous evening of live entertainment and fundraising.” – Sue Leeson, VP of Brand & Communications at QVC
