Stage Curtains

Glam-rock revivalist John Flanagan is unleashing EP Live Like A Legend next month.

The five song record was preceded by lead single Insomniac released earlier this month. An album pre-release concert at House of Blues Anaheim mainstage takes place tomorrow night (October 27th) with an official release show in the works at LA’s Troubadour set to coincide with the album release.

The five song EP was produced and recorded live at Nashville’s East Side Manor by Ross Bridgeman and mixed by Los Angeles sound architect Scott Frankfurt. While Live Like A Legend flirts in the sonic playground of Bon Jovi and Toto, it lives comfortably in the 2015 soundscape. Live Like A Legend will be available November 17th, 2015 on iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify.

John Flanagan is a jumpsuit-touting glamphyle, whose bloodshot determination to reinvent rock music borders chronic. Combining the elements of the filthy, glittering party decade of the Sunset Strip with a nescent, pop lyrical keenness, Flanagan is to Steve Perry what Bruno Mars is to Prince, what Fun is to Queen. Not a duplicate, but a polished, spit-shined update on a classic.

Stripped of sequins and signature onstage trappings, Flanagan has spent the last 3 years in the studio writing songs for Grammy winning producer, RedOne, and his publishing group 2101.
