Comedian Stewart Lee is returning to BBC Two with a new series of Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle.

“For each new series of Comedy Vehicle I wonder where the ideas will come from. But the world gets worse every year, and I myself become older and more jaded, more defeated, and more powerless, and hence the comedy arises once more.” – Stewart Lee

Filmed in front of a live audience at the Mildmay Club, Stoke Newington, this December, this fourth series will be packed full of brand-new stand-up material, while Stewart will once again be pulled to pieces by script-editor Chris Morris, and each episode will conclude in a short film. Each episode will cover a range of topics with themes this series including patriotism, wealth, Islamophobia, the migrant crisis, death, and childhood memories.

The six part series is written by Stewart Lee and will air in a half-hour slot on BBC Two.

“I’m not quite sure how he does it, but once again Stewart has put together three hours of brilliant stand up material, and will be unleashing his unique take on the world on BBC Two early next year.” – Richard Webb, executive producer for the BBC
