Chris Eubank has become the fourth celebrity to leave I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. The retired boxing pro left the jungle in tonight’s (1 December) episode of the ITV reality series after losing out in the latest public vote.
“It’s been much better than what I expected,” Chris told Ant & Dec. “The press doesn’t give it a good slant. It’s a good thing I’m now here because I have a voice and I will be speaking positively about the experience. It’s been marvellous.”
He went on to acknowledge his laidback approach to doing trials noting that he hadn’t felt a desire to ‘push in’ when other people were volunteering to win food for camp.
“She’s a mother figure so naturally I gravitated towards her,” Chris noted of being one of Lady C’s few allies. “She’s wise, experienced and knowledgeable and all of that I’m attracted to. That old-school gentlemanly conduct, always looking after and respecting your elders.”
“It’s not for me to criticise. It was hard when she said what she said to Tony. I saw it draw the spirit out of him. I told him not to get involved.” – Chris in response to Ant’s opinion that Lady ‘goes too far’
After being informed of Nigel Benn’s latest proposal via Twitter that they become opponents in the ring once more, Chris said “Well, as long as he accepts what we’re going to offer him. Yes, we’re possibly on… possibly.”
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tomorrow at 8.30pm on ITV
