Made In Chelsea star Mark-Francis Vandelli has dropped out of The Jump after fracturing his ankle. He is the fourth celebrity to pull out of Channel 4’s winter reality series due to injury.
Channel 4 confirmed that Vandelli can no longer continue in the competition due to the fracture, adding that he has been treated for the injury. The Jump hit the headlines over the weekend when it was announced Beth Tweddle has been rushed to hospital after suffering serious injury while training. The Olympic gymnast had to undergo surgery to fuse two fractured vertebrae.
Fellow Olympian Rebecca Adlington and Holby City actress Tina Hobley were also forced to pull out after suffering injuries. Channel 4 has ordered producers to conduct an urgent safety review following the high number of injuries this series. Channel 4 has said that all winter sports do carry some degree of risk.
Bookmakers are now offering odds on whether The Jump will have another series and if this current run may be pulled before the finale. William Hill are currently offering 10/1 on Channel 4 cancelling the current series before the end. There are also odds of 4/7 of Channel 4 not commissioning another series.
