More4 aka More 4

More4 is to celebrate the nation’s love of exploration on foot with two Saturdays of programming themed around rambling.

Brand new two-part show Coastal Walks with My Dog will see six famous faces -and their four legged friends- explore Britain’s magnificent coastline. From the wild western edge of North Wales to the ancient rocks of Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, Comedian Bill Bailey, adventurer Ben Fogle, 6 Music broadcaster Cerys Matthews, property presenter Phil Spencer, actress Angela Griffin and impressionist Debra Stephenson take their pet dogs on six very different but equally stunning coastal walks.

Today also sees the network premiere of British comedy film Downhill. James Rouse’s directorial debut stars Ned Dennehy, Richard Lumsden, Jeremy Swift and Karl Theobald as middle-aged men who go on a very long walk – Alfred Wainwright’s Coast to Coast Walk – traversing an epic 192 miles of stunning but tough terrain from St Bees in Cumbria to Robin Hood’s Bay in North Yorkshire.

To bookend the new programming, ten short films have been made featuring stunning footage from all four corners of the British Isles accompanied by readings from much-loved British actors.
