Channel 4 to follow the interview process for real jobs being offered by genuine employers in new series The Job Interview.

“This series takes us right into the heart of one of Britain’s last ‘secret spaces’ – the interview room. It’s simple and authentic: just real candidates battling it out against each other in pursuit of real jobs, filmed in microscopic detail to capture every nuance”. – Lorraine Charker-Phillips, co-creator and Executive Producer of The Job Interview

With the use of multiple cameras, the fly-on-the-wall series will reveal in detail for the first time the terror and triumph of real-life interviews, highlighting every aspect from handshake to potentially life-changing job offer.

The Job Interview was co-created by Label1 Creative Director Simon Dickson and Executive Producer Lorraine Charker-Phillips. Label1 is part of ITV Studios’ factual arm Shiver.

“The ambition of this series is to capture life-changing moments in the careers of successful candidates in a way that is moving, inspiring and entertaining. And I can’t think of a team better equipped to deliver that than Simon and Lorraine.” – Madonna Benjamin, Commissioning Executive, Documentaries for Channel 4
