EXCLUSIVE: Kate Garraway replaced as host of Biggest Loser?

Exclusive: Kate Garraway to be dropped from ITV prime time version of The Biggest Loser.

ATV Today editor Shaun Linden has learnt that Kate Garraway may be replaced as host of The Biggest Loser.

It is understood that bosses want a ‘bigger name’ as the show moves from daytime to prime time next year. The programme is currently being filmed ahead of its prime time outing in 2011. Trainers Richard and Angie are to remain on the production we’re told.

We have heard rumours, from with the ITV studios, that Christine Bleakley will be fronting the show. These suggestions would tie in with her big move to ITV1 this year. Bleakley, former host of BBC One’s The One Show, is to host new morning breakfast show Daybreak, which replaces 18-year-old GMTV. She has also been promised, in her big money deal with ITV, other prime time hosting opportunities.

Bleakley (pictured below on Daybreak) has already made her first prime time outing on ITV1, when she appeared last weekend as presenter of Simply Red – For The Last Time. The special was a farewell for music group Simply Red, lead by Mick Hucknall.
