Former GMTV presenter Andrew Castle is set to appear on ITV 1’s All Star Family Fortunes.

GMTV, left: Andrew Castle with, co-hosts Emma Crosby, Kate Garraway and Ben Shepherd.

The Castle family will go head to head with the family of Holby City actress Tina Hobley. Andrew Castle is most famous for being a tennis player for Britain and one of the main presenters on GMTV for the past ten years. He presented the final GMTV last month with Emma Crosby.

The show was axed to make way for the Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley fronted Daybreak, but thus far ratings and audience appreciation for what was the GMTV slot has nosedived.

No toppling the Castle, as Daybreak proves less of a hit than Andrew’s GMTV.

Andrew Castle however will be joining Kate Garraway as he signs up to host his own show on Smooth Radio in London.

You can catch this edition of All Star Family Fortunes on ITV 1 and ITV 1 HD, Saturday 16th October.

Back to 1983, TV-am – the predecessor to GMTV, on Family Fortunes celebrity special. John Stapleton (Centre) has hosted on all three ITV breakfast shows, from TV-am, GMTV and Daybreak.
