Davina McCall hosts a brand new series, This Time Next Year, showcasing some incredible real-life transformations.

The series will feature ordinary people on a mission to transform their lives in extraordinary ways over the course of 12 months.

In a TV first, This Time Next Year will deliver these transformations in an instantaneous ‘time travel’ style format. Once each pledge is made the contributor will leave the studio ready to begin their challenge but just moments later will reappear completely transformed one year later, revealing a brand new them.

Only then will Davina and the viewers at home learn how they’ve achieved it. In the first episode of the new series Davina meets Sarah-Jayne Croft a 47-year-old teacher from Hampshire who has battled with her weight throughout her adult life. After reaching almost 25 stone, Sarah decided it was time to take action and is pledging to lose 10 stone to fit into a sexy superhero costume, which she bought a few sizes too small to give her an incentive. After seeing a fellow passenger on a plane making comments via text about her weight, Sarah-Jayne decided it was time to finally take control but will she succeed?

After years of failed IVF attempts, couple Kim and Mick Dooley from Leeds are hoping they can finally have a baby to complete their family. Kim, Mick and Kim’s son Dillan, 14 from a previous relationship have faced an agonising few years as they suffered numerous miscarriages, the family are hoping to raise money for one final attempt at IVF to have their much longed for baby.

Retired romantic Malcolm Kirk, 74 years old from Grantham is hoping to find love again. Fed up of being on his own, the widower has decided its now time to meet that special someone who he can share his golden years with. How will Malcolm fair as he gets to grips with on online dating?
