ITV is to air Dance Dance Dance, a primetime entertainment series hosted by Alesha Dixon.
“The art of dance has always played a big part in my life so this show is the perfect fit for me. The standard of dance is very high and I can’t wait for the public to see these iconic performances brought back to life.” – Alesha Dixon
Dance Dance Dance celebrates iconic pop video and dance movie sequences as celebrities, together with a partner of their choice, take to the stage to recreate them. Dixon, pictured above adding some style to a Dulux paint promotion, will be joined by Will Best in presiding on the format which has aired in other countries.
The 6 part series will utilise amazing state of the art special effects to re-enact legendary routines from Michael Jackson’s Bad and Madonna’s Vogue to Beyoncé’s Crazy in Love and Britney Spears’ Baby One More Time.
In a spectacular celebration of dance and music, each week the celebrities and their partners will perform then be marked by a panel of three expert judges.
World famous choreographer, Tina Landon, has created routines for global superstars including Michael and Janet Jackson. Dancer, choreographer and judge on Dance Dance Dance across Europe, Timor Steffens has also worked with some big names including Michael Jackson and Madonna; and finally dancer, choreographer and creator of BGT winning street dance crew, Diversity, Ashley Banjo, completes the trio.
Celebrities taking part are Coronation Street and Wild at Heart actress Lucy Jo Hudson, TOWIE star Jessica Wright, JLS singer JB Gill, axed EastEnder actor Jonny Labey and Emmerdale’s Fiona Wade.
“I’m so excited to be hosting Dance Dance Dance alongside the fabulous Alesha Dixon. I can’t wait to see what routines the celebs and their partners will be performing.” – Will Best
