ITV unveiled the three-coach panel last night (15 November) noting they will assume their duties when blind auditions begin filming in December.

Pixie Lott started out in music aged 15 after being discovered by American record producer LA Reid, since notching up 4 million singles and 1.6 million albums worldwide.

The popstar most recently garnered praise for her turn as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s in the West End.

“I can’t wait to join The Voice Kids and help discover the next big star. I have such a passion for talented young people and I know the UK will have lots – I can’t wait to hear them! I’m looking forward to getting started and working alongside my fellow coaches will.i.amand Danny Jones.”  – Pixie Lott

Danny is known for being one of the lead vocalists and guitarists in pop group McFly, which has sold more than 10 million records worldwide and had seven UK number one singles. Following the release of Room on the 3rd Floor in 2004, the four-piece superseded The Beatles as the youngest band to have an album debut at number one.

McFly are also also the youngest band to top the UK album charts twice and, in 2013, joined forces with Busted to form the super-group McBusted, undertaking a 34-date tour across the UK. McFly sold out their own UK tour in September this year.

“I’m pumped about joining The Voice Kids team. There are so many talented kids out there, they just need to be heard and this is a great platform for them. I’m looking forward to finding some fresh talent and coaching them. You never know, there might be a mini McFly out there!” – Danny Jones

will.i.am said he couldn’t wait for the two British stars to join him on the panel, adding: “Doing The Voice Kids with Pixie and Danny is going to be dope and I’m really excited to discover just how talented British kids can be.”

The Voice Kids is open to solo singers between the ages of 7-14, with the winner receiving a life changing prize to be announced in due course.

This is the first time the spin-off to The Voice has aired in the UK since the BBC opted not to air the kids version upon its acquisition of the rights to the parent series which it held from 2012 until this year.
