Robbie Williams is to perform exclusively for BBC Radio 2 next week. The concert will be broadcast live on the station on December 8th.

The intimate gig will take place in London and will be broadcast live on the network from 8pm, as well as in vision on the BBC Red Button and streamed on the beeb’s Radio 2 website.
Robbie will perform a special sound-check set for Ken Bruce on the morning of his concert, and will also speak to Simon Mayo on his Drivetime show later in the afternoon. He’ll also be interviewed live by Jo Whiley between 5.45pm and 6pm on the BBC Red Button and online.
The winter season of BBC Radio 2 In Concert kicked off in September with Van Morrison, and has featured other acts including Simple Minds and Tom Odell. Past concerts have featured world class musicians including the iconic Jeff Lynne’s ELO, Ed Sheeran, A-ha and Gregory Porter.
Robbie found fame as part of the five-act pop group Take That in the 1990s, hits included Never Forget, Relight My Fire and Back for Good. Williams quit the band after five years of success in 1995. The remaining four members, Gary Barlow, Jason Orange, Mark Owen and Howard Donald disbanded less than a year later. Take That regrouped, minus Robbie in 2006 with all five band members reunited between 2009 and 2012, currently Take That are a three peice with Barlow, Owen and Donald carrying on the music.
Williams solo hits include Let Me Entertain You, Angels and Rock DJ. Theses have added to his 18.9 million album sales and 5.88 million single sales in the UK alone.
