ITV’s daytime show This Morning is to team up with leading wish-granting charity Make-A-Wish® UK for a special ‘Week of Wishes’ appeal.

“Our viewers are incredible and I have every faith they will get behind this appeal.” – This Morning’s editor, Martin Frizell

Next week, hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will explain to viewers how this special week – and their donations – could help hundreds of seriously ill children and their families who turn to Make-A-Wish UK to have their one true wish granted during uncertain times in their lives. By delving into their imaginations, This Morning together with Make-A Wish UK, will discover and help grant wishes to enrich the lives of those fighting life-threatening conditions.

When a child is fighting a life-threatening condition, their future is uncertain. Their whole family’s world is turned upside down. That’s why wishes are so important, particularly around Christmas time. Once their most cherished wish is granted, a child will see that anything is possible. It gives them and their family the emotional strength they need to fight their condition and hope to face their future – whatever it might hold.

Viewers will be able to donate via SMS and online [details below] and This Morning will reveal how many wishes the money raised can grant at the end of the week.

Other ITV shows working with Make-A-Wish UK include I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! who have donated 15p from every phone vote in the recent series.

“We are delighted to be working with ITV and This Morning, to help grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. We’re encouraging viewers and supporters alike, to text and donate online, to help hundreds more children. Thanks to everyone who watches the show and donates – you’re making a real difference.” – Jason Suckley, CEO of Make-A-Wish UK

All donation routes will remain open until 5pm on Tuesday 3rd January 2017 and viewers can find out more by watching This Morning from the 12th of December onwards and also online at

This Morning, weekdays from 10.30am on ITV, STV and UTV
