Bear Grylls’ Survival School is to return to Children’s ITV for a second series.
Bear Grylls’ Survival School sees a group of youngsters aged between 12-15 leave their much-loved technology behind as they venture into the rugged mountains of Snowdonia in Wales for an action-packed two week trip led by the titular adventurer.
The invaluable life lessons they’ll learn along the way include teamwork, perseverance and resilience. The kids will have to work together and put the skills they pick up into practice to accomplish a challenging survival exercise in the final episodes.
“Young people thrive of adventure – and the wild can teach us so much: teamwork, resilience, courage, and the value of persistence, kindness and friendship. This series exposes these young people to some of most awe inspiring wilderness challenges that take them to the very edge – all the time battling bad weather, cold, fatigue and hunger. But those that endured found themselves the possessor of a confidence and pride that only the wild can provide.” – Bear Grylls
The twelve-part second series will transmit on CITV and ITV at 8.30am from 7th January 2017.
Bear Grylls’ Survival School is co-produced by Potato and Bear Grylls Ventures (BGV) for CITV. The first series was nominated for Best Children’s Programme at the 2016 Broadcast Awards.
