Singer and Songwriter Sophie Ellis-Bextor is back with a new album.
The ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ singer is working on her her sixth album, “Familia”, and chose to film her first music video in Mexico’s Puerto Vallarta.
For three days this winter, the city of Puerto Vallarta set the scene for “Death of Love” and “Wild Forever”, Bexter’s upcoming music videos, launching early 2017.
The beautiful beaches, cobbled streets and breath-taking sunsets of Puerto Vallarta provided the perfect backdrop for international music Director and Grammy Award-Winner Sophie Muller, who has worked with the likes of Beyoncé, Coldplay, Pink, The Killers, Shakira and Gwen Stefani (to name a few).
Puerto Vallarta’s “hot spots” and filming favourites included the stunning Casa Kimberly hotel (former love nest of Elizabeth Burton and Richard Taylor back in the 60s), Casitas Maraika, commonly known as “a little slice of heaven” and the picture – perfect stretch of Malecón.
The 37-year-old singer chose Puerto Vallarta to frame her 2017 return due to the regions luscious landscapes, unique culture, vibrant colours, Mariachi musical beats and friendly locals. It is perhaps why all of the production talent involved throughout were Mexicans (thanks goes to the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board).
Last year Sophie was back in the public eye when she helped launch UKTV’s latest television channel ‘W’. The ‘Take Me Home’ performer unleashed thousands of blue balloons (biodegradable) on London’s Thames riverside to officially open the network on February 15th.
