EyeSpy: Remembering Jack Klugman

EyeSpyJack Klugman the actor best known in the UK for two television roles in The Odd Couple and Quincy M.E. has died aged 90.

Klugman passed away on Christmas Eve with his wife by his side, he was spending the festive season with family.

“He had a great life and he enjoyed every moment of it and he would encourage others to do the same,” his son Adam Klugman told reporters.

He was known as the messy character of Oscar Madison in ABC’s The Odd Couple where he starred alongside Tony Randall as two divorced men living in an apartment together between 1970 and 1975. In 1976 he progressed to his own series in Quincy, M.E., for NBC, where he played the lead role of Dr R. Quincy, the crime solving medical examiner, until 1983.
